The first Chaurang show Mangalgani-Dangalgani presents the history of Marathi culture over 700 years through poetry and music. Beginning with Pasaydan of Dnyaneshwar and then following the journey of almost all musical forms of Marathi culture such as Sant kavya, Pant Kavya, Shahiri kavya or tanta kavya Bhakti Sangeet, Bhajan, Bharud, Abhang, Bhavgeet, Film Music, Lavni, Tamasha, etc. This programme became a milestone due to its entertaining value and innovative presentation style which was accepted and appreciated widely by the people.
Ashok Hande became a crowd puller for Marathi audience with his first presentation itself and the rest, as they say, is history.
